What’s taters, precious?
Happy thanksgiving! I hope you are able to gather with your household to celebrate love, the bountiful harvest, and be thankful for what we have. I know this year is different due to the pandemic, but that doesn’t mean we can’t use technology to stay in touch with family.
Today I bring you my best mashed potato recipe. A hit with my husband and his family. (Not mine as they prefer plain potatoes for to put gravy on)
Best mashed taters
8 large potato ~ 7lbs
1 stick butter (~9 tbs)
3 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons garlic powder
1 cup 2% milk (I used vanilla almond milk this year and it was still phenomenal)
2 teaspoons pepper
- Peel cut up and boil 25-30 minutes or until tender
- Drain and add back to pot
- Add all ingredients
- Blend! (Add more butter or milk to desired consistency)
What’s a staple you make every year?
