10 Earth Day Books for Kids

Earth Day, celebrated each year on April 22nd, is dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices. There’s year’s focus is reducing plastics. How can we help children understand the importance of protecting our planet? It’s important to foster environmental awareness from an early age. Some of us adult have memories of activities at school, including the three Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). Let’s continue that awareness!

In this blog post, I’m sharing a selection of Earth Day related books I’ve read with my children, or those books we just picked up yesterday from the library to keep planting the seeds of environmental consciousness the whole week and beyond. These books not only have beautiful illustrations but also serve as powerful tools to inspire a lifelong connection with our beautiful Earth. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or caregiver, I hope you share these books with the children in your life.
